Donnie and Ling Ling

“I just don’t get this. You can’t just lump things into two categories. Things aren’t that simple. Life isn’t that simple. I mean who cares if Ling Ling returns the wallet and keeps the money? It has nothing to do with either fear or love. There are other things that need to be taken into account. Like the whole spectrum of human emotion. The First Noble Truth

Did you know that the first Noble Truth of the Buddha is that life is suffering? He said that life is suffering because we crave stuff. We crave food. We crave big houses. We crave cool cell phones. The key to eliminating suffering is to stop craving stuff – to stop craving everything. Once we are free of all attachments, only then can we be free from suffering and sorrow. I think Buddha got it right. Once we get rid of everything we care about in our lives, we will eliminate sorrow. Read more
